Carter Machinery Baltimore Parts distribution
Warehouse Lighting Project
The management team at Carter Machinery contacted US Energy Management to discuss improving the lighting conditions in their parts distribution facility in Baltimore, Maryland. US Energy Management re-designed the lighting throughout the facility replacing 644 fluorescent and metal halide fixtures with LED fixtures and adding 90 more LED fixtures. Light levels increased from an average of 28 foot candles to 76 foot candles improving safety and efficiency throughout the facility while also reducing energy.

Martha Jefferson hospital
Exterior Lighting Project
The facilities team at Martha Jefferson contracted with US Energy Management to change fixtures in all surface lots and the parking garage. All garage fixtures included sensors for daylight harvesting, occupancy, and a safety feature allowing fixtures to brighten when movement is detected. The project provided significant reduction in energy and maintenance costs while improving safety.

ROANOKE CATHOLIC
School Lighting Project
Principal Pat Patterson contacted US Energy Management to discuss upgrading classrooms and hallways in the high school as well as both gyms. They also had to add pole lighting to a parking lot being transitioned from student drop off to facility parking. US Energy Management did a photometric study to determine what was needed to increase light levels and provide a place to install security cameras. We installed (3) new light poles, added (2) wall packs, and installed wall sconces around the building.

Fountain Lighting Project
Norfolk Academy contacted US Energy Management to help upgrade their water fountain and archway area to help with energy costs and to reduce maintenance on underwater light fixtures. We replaced (28) 150-watt submerged light fixtures with 18-watt LED replacements and (3) recessed archway cans. To aid with energy savings, US Energy also replaced the existing time clocks.

Warehouse Lighting Project
The facilities team at Fisher Auto Parts contacted US Energy Management to improve energy efficiency and improve the lighting in three warehouses in Staunton, Virginia. US Energy Management replaced 484 metal halide and fluorescent fixtures with LED fixtures. Wall and fixture mounted occupancy sensors were used to further improve energy savings.

Carter Machinery Winchester, VA
Facility Lighting Project
The facilities team at Carter Machinery contacted US Energy Management to discuss improving the light levels in the tractor shop and yard in Winchester. US Energy Management redesigned the tractor shop, replacing the metal halide fixtures with new LED high bays, increasing the light level from an average of 32 foot candles to 81 foot candles improving safety and efficiency. The metal halide pole tops in the yard were replaced with new LED site lights eliminating dark spots and shadows. While on site US Energy Management replaced all fluorescent lighting in the offices and support areas.
